The Jackson Foundation are holding an online prize draw to win a Kurt Jackson original Glastonbury painting, with all funds raised going to Greenpeace.

With the release of Kurt Jackson’s latest exhibition, Art. Music. Activism: Kurt Jackson, Glastonbury Festival and Greenpeace (read more about it here), the Jackson Foundation team always look to go above and beyond when it comes to supporting communities that strive to make the world a better place.

The exhibition sees a partnership with Greenpeace, and celebrates Kurt’s long standing residency as one of Glastonbury’s most prominent working artists, which Greenpeace have been a large part of for many years. Sadly due to the coronavirus outbreak, the team have made the difficult decision to postpone the official exhibition release for the time being, however the prize draw is still on and a winner is set to be announced in August.

The prize draw will see original Glastonbury painting by Kurt Jackson’s ‘Dancing in the Sunshine’, up for grabs. Typical of Kurt’s customary nature to immerse himself in his subject matters, Kurt created much of his Glastonbury works in-situ, and could often be found amongst the crowds, at the side of the stage, or perched atop a nearby hill capturing the vibrant magic that surrounds this iconic festival.

With the money raised from the draw going to Greenpeace, it’s a competition with added feel-good factors. Now at a pivotal point in human history and on the cusp of a climate crisis, protecting our environments and ecosystems has become more important than ever and something that the Jackson Foundation consistently strives to do in their partnerships with environmental charities throughout every one of their exhibitions.

Entries close at midnight on Saturday 15th August 2020 with the winner announced on Tuesday 18th August. Good luck everyone!
